My Philosophy
I believe life is a journey meant to be enjoyed. In order to get the most out of life, there are times we need to make peace with the past, or even with our current circumstances. I believe any circumstance can be resolved, or at the very least, seen in a different light. This allows us to enjoy today and look forward to tomorrow.
On this journey, the Counselor serves as a guide to help the client build on their strengths. This is done in a safe and nurturing environment where thoughts and feelings are always met with unconditional positive regard. Unconditional positive regard is a counseling technique defined by David G. Meyers as follows;
"an attitude of grace, an attitude that values us even knowing our ailings. It is a profound relief to drop our pretenses, confess our worst feelings, and discover that we are still accepted."
Discover the confidence to leave familiar terrain, to explore the unknown, and to overcome obstacles. Discover a path where you can feel renewed, a path where you can feel whole; a peaceful path.
